Eyes and Vision

Visual perception is the ability to interpret the surrounding environment by processing information that is contained in visible light. The resulting perception is also known as eyesight, sight, or vision.

The various physiological components involved in vision are referred to collectively as the visual system which comprises of the eyes, the optic nerves and the part of the brain related to vision (occipital cortex).

Dieases of the eye are treated by a group of physicians comprising Opthalmologists, General Physician, Neurologist, Neuro Surgeon and Oncologists.
